A legendary exclusive Art Deco landmark restored to former glory, blending Parisian elegance with a Riviera spirit.
Designed by Lucien Pollet and opened in 1929, the Piscine Molitor were abandoned for many years before being painstakingly restored to their former Art Deco Parisian glamour in 2014. With yellow changing cabins and ocean-liner railings, today it's a designers dream that operates as a luxury resort. With so much history and glamour, it's not hard to imagine that this is where the modern bikini made its scandalous debut in 1946.
There are two pools, indoor and outdoor, in the complex. The summer outdoor pool draws a crowd of sun-seekers and aperitif-sippers. The winter indoor pool, lit through stained glass, feels like swimming inside a Wes Anderson film. Hidden corners feature work by modern graffiti artists that reference the days when the pool was abandoned. Day passes are scarce, so your best bet is to stay at the onsite hotel, book a spa package, or become a club member.
