A heated saltwater pool terraced into the hillside above Portofino's pastel harbour.
Splendido has presided over Portofino since the 1900s, a hillside villa turned hotel reached by a switchback drive through olive groves. Its saltwater pool sits on a terrace below the lemon trees, with the harbour and fishing boats picture-postcard far below.
Mornings here belong to long laps; afternoons to negronis and the soft creak of cypress in the breeze.
