The pool
Sharp architectural pools cascading down a cliff in Cabo, every level facing the blue of the Sea of Cortés.
The Thompson (formerly The Cape) was designed by Mexico City firm Javier Sánchez Arquitectos as a grid of weathered concrete and dark wood, terraced down the cliff at Misiones del Cabo. The main pool is long and shallow, set on the upper deck above an adults-only infinity pool one level below — both face directly onto the iconic arch of Land's End.
The water is filtered with salt and kept just shy of warm; the loungers are deep enough to sleep in. Order a mezcal palomas at the swim-up bar and stay until the sun drops behind the Pacific.
