Makanda by the Sea

Makanda's villas are scattered through the jungle on the hill above Manuel Antonio, with toucans and sloths as the most reliable neighbours. The main saltwater pool is at the very top — a small infinity edge looking out over the Pacific.

Adults only, very quiet, and shaded by enormous almond trees that drop fruit into the water on windy afternoons.
